Your Role
As a Post Person with Driving, you’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, ensuring letters and parcels are delivered come rain or shine. You’ll drive round your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely. You’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards. Important to Know
While large parts of the role involves walking, driving a Royal Mail delivery van is also a key requirement. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy being outdoors and staying active throughout the day. You’ll be required to pass a driving assessment when you start.
Pay & Shifts
- Day Shift (05:31 – 19:59): £13.07
- Early (05:01 – 05:30): £13.96
- Evening (20:00 – 21:39): £13.74
- Lates (21:40 – 01:59): £14.48
- Overtime (Over 40 hours): £16.33
- Bank Holidays (All Day): £19.59
Rates could be subject to change during busy periods; staffing will communicate any changes to your pay rates in advance. A full rate card with all shift breakdowns will be provided on application.
