Angard Staffing is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as flexible (temporary) Mail Sorters with Royal Mail. Whether you're looking to gain experience or take on a new challenge, this is your chance to be part of a team that helps keep the country moving.
Shifts are available any day of the week, from Monday to Sunday, and vary depending on operational needs. All shifts are a minimum of 4 hours, with the potential to extend up to 12 hours. We operate across three main shift patterns:
- Early Shifts: Typically start between 05:00 and 14:00.
- Late Shifts: Typically start between 14:00 and 22:00.
- Night Shifts: Typically start between 22:00 and 05:00.
Please note that shift times may vary slightly by location and role. Flexibility is essential, and candidates should be prepared to work across different shift patterns, including weekends, where required.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Unloading mail and parcels
- Sorting items by postcode and moving them through the warehouse
- Working efficiently to meet tight deadlines – some teams sort over a million items in a single shift!
- Handling election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
What We’re Looking For
- You don’t need to have worked for us before (we love new people!), but experience in warehouse or sorting work is a plus.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced setting
- Pays close attention to detail
- Is flexible and comfortable switching between tasks
- Can push trolleys up to 250kg and lift mail bags up to 11kg
- Can stand for long periods during shifts
Pay & Shifts
- Day Shift – Starts & Finishes between 05:31 and 19:59 – £13.07
- Dawn Shift – Starts between 02:01 and 04:00 – £13.96
- Early 0500 – Starts between 04:01 and 05:00 – £13.54
- Early 0530 – Starts between 05:01 and 05:30 – £13.30
- Evening – Finishes between 20:00 and 21:39 – £13.74
- Lates – Finishes between 21:40 and 01:59 – £14.48
- Nights – Three hours across 23:00 to 05:00 – £15.74
- Overtime (Over 40 hours) – Mon to Sat – £16.33
- Bank Holidays – All Day – £19.59
