About the Role
Angard Staffing is currently recruiting Casual Mail Sorters to support Royal Mail operations at East Midlands Airport. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-performing team responsible for keeping the UK’s mail network moving efficiently. As a Mail Sorter, you will play a key role in the processing and distribution of mail and parcels within a busy warehouse environment.
Candidate Requirements
We welcome applications from both experienced individuals and those new to warehouse work. Full training is provided. Ideal candidates will:
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Be flexible and adaptable to changing tasks
- Be physically capable of:
- Pushing trolleys (up to 250kg)
- Lifting mail bags (up to 11kg)
- Standing for extended periods
Eligibility
- Must be aged 18 or over
- Must have the right to work in the UK
Shift Pattern
Night shifts only (Monday to Friday)
Available shift times: 22:00–02:00 | 22:30–02:30 | 22:45–02:45
Candidates must be available to work all shift variations. Please note: shift times may vary depending on operational requirements.
Pay Rates
£13.90 to £15.11 per hour depending on shift times. Pay breaks are unpaid.
Pre-Employment Checks
Due to the aviation security requirements of this role, all candidates must successfully complete the following checks:
- Valid Right to Work in the UK
- Full 5-year referencing history (covering employment, education, or other activities - including any periods outside the UK)
- Criminal Record Check (DBS)
- Candidates who have lived outside the UK for 6 months or more within the past 5 years will also be required to provide relevant overseas police clearance certificates.
