Contract Type: Zero-hours (regular ongoing work)

Working Pattern: Day shifts, Monday–Friday 1200 - 2030 (must be available to work all week)

Job Purpose

As a Relay Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of high-value goods to various businesses and warehouses on a designated route. Working as part of the Angard Staffing team, you will operate a 3.5-ton van, representing Royal Mail with professionalism and reliability at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete scheduled deliveries and collections of high-value items across the assigned route.
  • Drive and operate a 3.5-ton vehicle safely and in line with Royal Mail standards.
  • Ensure all goods are handled securely and appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections as required.
  • Follow all site, road, and safety compliance procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service to business clients and warehouse teams.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the Angard Staffing workforce.

Essential Requirements

  • A valid manual UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer.
  • Ability to work day shifts, Monday to Friday, 1200 - 2030 (must be available to work all week).
  • Good geographical awareness and safe driving skills.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong attention to detail.

Pay Rates

Pay is shift-dependent. Please note current vacancies are for Annual Leave reserve covering various shifts.

  • Early Shift (Start & Finish between 05:31–19:59): £14.70 per hour (Sunday: £21.65 per hour)
  • Late Shift (Finish between 21:40–01:59): £16.28 per hour (Sunday: £23.23 per hour)
  • Night Shift (Three hours across 23:00–05:00): £17.70 per hour (Sunday: £24.65 per hour)
