Aneurin Leisure Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Development Officer to join our new Head, Heart, Hands Project—a project designed to support individuals in improving their wellbeing, essential skills, and employability. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in Blaenau Gwent by supporting people facing barriers to engagement and helping them progress into learning, training, or employment. You will work creatively and flexibly in community settings, delivering activities that empower individuals and strengthen communities.

What You’ll Do

  • Engage and support participants to improve their wellbeing, essential skills and employability
  • Deliver innovative learning and engagement activities, including working with hard-to-reach groups
  • Work in community venues across Blaenau Gwent, providing both group and one-to-one support
  • Promote the project through outreach and local engagement activity
  • Build relationships with partners, agencies and employers to create progression opportunities
  • Maintain accurate learner records and meet project compliance and reporting requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and partnership working across the project

Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The post holder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
