Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Registered Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner to join our expanding Theatre Scrub Team at the new Specialist and Critical Care Centre.
Responsibilities
- Provide 7‑day, 24‑hour theatre service, including emergency and elective procedures across General Surgery, ENT, Vascular, Obstetrics, Maxillofacial, Gynaecology, CEPOD, and Trauma.
- Work occasional weekends, nights and support other theatre departments within ABUHB.
- Participate in a comprehensive training programme under a designated Theatre Practice Educator.
- Support efficient use of equipment and materials.
- Adhere to ABUHB policy and procedures, complete required documentation.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential Criteria- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with NMC registration, or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with HCPC registration.
- Theatre experience.
- Welsh language ability is desirable; Welsh and English speakers are welcome.

Essential Criteria- Ability to travel within the geographical area to rotate between various ABUHB sites.
- Flexibility for on‑call evenings and weekends.
- Satisfactory Standard/Enhanced DBS clearance, including an Adults and Children’s Barred List check.
