An exciting opportunity has become available for a Specialty Doctor within Adult Mental Health Services, based within the borough of Caerphilly, Ty Cyfannol ward, Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr. The post holder will be covering a 23-bedded Adult Acute Mental Health ward, working alongside the existing Consultants for Ty Cyfannol, and together will provide medical input in the day-to-day management of adult patients in any setting within the borough and contribute to the development of the Adult Mental Health services in line with Transformational work and the Models of Care.

The post holder has a general duty of care for their own health, safety and wellbeing and that of work colleagues, visitors, patients within the hospital. This statutory duty is in addition to any specific risk management or clinical governance accountabilities associated with the post.

As a senior employee of the Health Board, the post holder will work in close co-operation with, and support other clinical, medical professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality care to the Health Board's patients.
