Aneurin Bevan University Health Board supports flexible working. There is a temporary top-up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top-up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour (£24,638 per annum). This top-up will be in place until the 2025/26 pay uplift is confirmed.

Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Specialist Nurse to join our dynamic, caring, and professional respiratory nursing team.
Working in primary and community care settings, the successful candidate will work across the health board, delivering safe, high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions and/or requiring home oxygen, aiming to provide care closer to home.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will collaborate with specialist nurses for patients with respiratory conditions and oxygen therapy at home. They will work both in patients\’ homes and clinics, providing safe, timely care closer to home, focusing on evidence-based practice and preventative health care. They will support other healthcare professionals with specialist nursing knowledge and advise patients and families with long-term respiratory conditions and oxygen needs. The role includes supporting pulmonary rehabilitation and conducting spirometry as required, along with supporting policy implementation and providing nurse leadership.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for safe, high-quality service delivery, with a patient-centered approach. We welcome applications from individuals with these qualities who are eager to develop professionally.
