Job Summary
2 Year, Fixed-Term/ Secondment
This post is part of the growing Clinical Research Centre team based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport. The post holder will support the smooth running of the Clinical Research Centre and provide administrative support to the team. This will include making appointments and booking patients in, coordinating meetings and ensuring the clinical areas are ready for the day ahead. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work.
This is a patient facing role and you must be confident to communicate with patients, their families and the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team.

This post is fixed term for 2 years to cover the needs of the service – Secondment post will be considered – For a secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
Main duties of the job
Duties will include the coordination and preparation of clinical space, supporting booking of appointments, arranging transport for patients, ensuring availability of equipment and stock, stock control and ordering, administrative support for the Research Centre.
Excellent IT skills
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
