To support the Senior staff with the running of the medical ward on a shift by shift basis. To be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care. To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team. To develop an understanding of the requirements of the National Service Framework.
Schedule and Shift Requirements: We care for patients 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, requiring a flexible approach to full shift systems including nights, weekends and on a 12‑hour or three‑shift system. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide registered nursing care within Unscheduled Care on the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit.
- Support senior staff.
- Conduct assessments.
- Plan care.
- Implement interventions.
- Evaluate outcomes.
- Contribute to the multidisciplinary team’s clinical practice.
