The post is a job share amounting to 15 hours per week preferably worked Thursday and Friday. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced secretary/team administrator to work in a busy Integrated Autism Service. The post holder will be the first point of contact for the service and must possess excellent interpersonal skills and resources to respond appropriately to enquiries from individuals, parents/carers, and other professionals.
The post holder will provide high quality, comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Integrated Autism Service, meeting the requirements of both the health and social care workforce within the service. This post is a fixed term/secondment for 9 months until 31st of March 2027 due to funding. Main duties of the job:
- This post covers a range of administrative tasks to maintain prompt and accurate patient records.
- You will be working with Clinicians, support staff, and fellow Team Administrators.
- You will have excellent keyboard skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- You will be required to use the patient recording systems WCCIS, to organise clinics (booking of rooms etc.) and book patients into clinics.
- The ability to prioritise your work and be highly organised is paramount to this post, as are excellent interpersonal communication skills, which include a friendly telephone manner while providing a professional, sensitive manner and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Keyboard skills to RSA III or equivalent secretarial experience.
- Maths and English GCSE.
- Computer literate with a good understanding of software programmes.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of secretarial and administrative procedures and systems.
- Knowledge of using CWS.
- WelshPAS trained.
- Experience:
- Experience of working in an administration or secretarial post.
- Management of Waiting Lists.
- Aptitude and Abilities:
- Possess excellent communication/telephone skills.
- Ability to work with staff at all levels.
- Other:
- Ability to be independently mobile to meet the requirements of the service.
- Ability to work on his/her own initiative in an often pressured and fast-moving environment.
