We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated registered nurse with extensive experience of working in Mental Health/Learning Disabilities or Neurodevelopmental Services. This role is a prescribing post and is integral to ensuring continuity of care following diagnosis, particularly in relation to medication initiation and ongoing management. The role will directly support the strategic objective of progressing towards a more aligned and integrated Neurodevelopmental (ND) model, including closer operational working between the Adult ADHD service and the Integrated Autism Service (IAS). It plays a pivotal function in leading complex diagnostic assessments and differential assessments, formulation discussions, and applying diagnostic criteria in line with national guidance. Senior clinicians at Band 8a will actively engage in leading service development activity and quality improvement work.
Main duties of the job:
- Be a visible and professional clinical leader with responsibility for day‑to‑day professional and operational management of the adult ADHD service.
- Play a pivotal role in developing and implementing key strategic, clinical and operational changes to services in line with service reviews.
This post is fixed term/secondment until 31st March 2027 due to funding. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Job responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical leadership and oversight of the adult ADHD service.
- Implement prescribing protocols and monitor medication management.
- Lead service development projects and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Adult ADHD and Integrated Autism Service.
Person Specification:
