Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in Chronic Pain Management. This replacement post will aim to provide cover for Anaesthetics and Pain Management services. With the current reconfiguration of services, including the new Grange University Hospital (GUH), the post holder may be required to work at any site across the Health Board. Cross-site working in ABUHB will be expected by the Directorate to meet service demands.

The Anaesthetic Directorate provides services to more than 30 theatres across the health Board, including elective, emergency and trauma theatre lists. The post holder will provide 24-hour cover for all emergency surgery, trauma and obstetrics, as well as support the cardiac arrest team and the emergency department at the Grange University Hospital. Responsibilities also include participating in the acute and chronic pain management service and working with allied health professionals in the Chronic Pain Management Centre.
