Job Overview: To provide an administrative service to the Patient Experience and Involvement Team. The post will entail frequent contact with a variety of stakeholders including members of the public (patients), volunteers and personnel internal and external to the organisation. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job:
- Providing and receiving confidential information on behalf of the Team in relation to volunteers and patients.
- Liaising with members of Health Board staff, internal and external stakeholders to support the Team services including Patient Information Unit leaflets.
- Communication with patients, families, volunteers, staff and external organisations, in relation to: dementia service, patient education, volunteer service, recruitment, training, volunteer induction and referral enquiries.
- Receive and distribute incoming mail, including managing shared mailboxes, dealing with correspondence as appropriate.
- Effective communication will be required at a range of different levels, using different methods of delivery, such as verbal (face to face and over the phone), email, text and letter.
- To act as a central point of contact for the Patient Experience and Involvement Team.
- Work collaboratively with other services/professionals in the area in relation to the Patient Experience and Involvement Team workstreams.
- To signpost staff, patients and or volunteers to other suitable services.

Qualifications:
Essential criteria:- Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experienced and competent in using word processing, presentation and spreadsheet software.
- Experience of working with volunteers.
- Effective over the phone, face to face and using the written word.
- Able to work accurately with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to speak Welsh.
- Ability to use sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Ability to travel as required to do the job.
