Fixed-Term/Secondment Opportunity for 18 Months to cover the needs of the service

We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Educator to support workforce development and promote excellence in clinical practice across Primary and Secondary Care services. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with a background in lower limb care, tissue viability and lymphoedema, and a passion for education, staff development and improving patient outcomes.

The post holder will support the development, delivery and evaluation of education and training programmes designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and confidence of healthcare professionals involved in lower limb wound management, tissue viability and lymphoedema care. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, they will promote evidence-based practice and support the implementation of local and national policies and clinical guidelines.

Key responsibilities include delivering education and training, supporting competency development through mentorship, coaching and clinical supervision, providing specialist educational to healthcare professionals, patients and carers.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, delivering educational to healthcare professionals involved in the management of lower limb wounds and lymphoedema. They will promote evidence-based practice, enhance clinical competence and support the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care.

Managing Complexity

The post holder will coordinate and deliver education and training programmes that develop the knowledge, skills and competencies required for safe, effective and compassionate care, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives, professional standards and workforce needs.

Improvement and Monitoring

The post holder will contribute to the implementation, evaluation and continuous development of clinical guidelines, educational resources, organisational policies and quality improvement initiatives. They will identify opportunities to improve practice and service delivery through education, audit, service evaluation and the promotion of evidence‑informed care. In addition, they will support the translation of learning into practice to enhance workforce capability, improve service quality and achieve positive patient outcomes.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; however, applications are welcomed from both Welsh and English speakers.
