The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

We have x2 part time posts of 30 hours each available. The post holder will work as part of a team that provides health care services to patients within the Dermatology Unit focusing on the direct needs of service users undergoing healthcare treatments. The HCSW may work on various hospital sites with inpatients, outpatients and those attending for surgical procedures. The post holder is expected to work within clinical competencies with support base knowledge. They are expected to work within defined protocols, adhering to the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales under the direction, and close supervision of and reporting to a Registered Nurse.
Main duties of the job:
- The Dermatology Unit at St Woolos Hospital are looking for a motivated healthcare support worker to join our nursing team.
- The unit holds a variety of Dermatology outpatient clinics on weekdays; Monday to Friday.
- The role will include supporting Consultants in clinics, patient observations, phlebotomy, supporting patients undergoing surgical procedures.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. This post is currently advertised at Band 2. The role is under review within the Health Board as part of a national review and may, in future, progress to Band 3 with an updated job description. If appointed, your manager will ensure you are kept informed and will support you through any changes, including discussing relevant training requirements.
