Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join the Urology team as a Clinic Clerk/Receptionist. The post is part-time and this role will support the urology department, urology day case unit in RGH, and will cross cover D2West, the urology elective ward. Working within the urology team, you will be providing a professional, competent clerical service to our patients. This post is held by the Division of Surgery. Please note, postholders may be required to undertake this role in other Divisional Directorates and departments as needed.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational and administrative skills with an eye for detail, along with the ability to work and problem solve under pressure. Good keyboard and telephony skills are essential, as is the need to demonstrate a commitment to achieving high-quality standards of work and to be flexible to meet the needs of the service. It is essential that the successful candidate has excellent communication and interpersonal skills as the post holder will be required to liaise with patients and staff as a key member of the team. Training will be provided for the use of hospital information computer systems. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
