We welcome applications for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the booking team within the Neurophysiology Department based in St Woolos Hospital, Newport.
Reporting to the Service Improvement Manager , you will be well supported, become valued members of team and encouraged to develop in this role.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve booking and managing a range of outpatient clinics, managing the respective waiting lists and working to the vision of the Division of Medicine Directorates. Oversee efficient & optimum clinic utilisation, highlighting if there are problems with clinic capacity. An up-to-date knowledge of outpatient clinics will be required to enable the post holder to make, amend and cancel appointments, handle telephone; the post-holder will need a working knowledge of all clinics. The role will range from handling Consultant, Dr and Patient queries and enquiries about clinics, making appointments using the Myrddin Patient Administration System and using direct and partial booked appointments.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
