Job Overview
A vacancy has become available for a highly motivated Band 5 Scrub Theatre Practitioner/Nurse to join our team and work within our dynamic theatre department at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr Hospital. The theatres unit is a busy environment hosting orthopaedics, general surgery, breast surgery and gynaecology. We are a supportive, friendly department that is strongly centred on teamwork and patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience working within an operating theatre and will be supported fully through an orientation programme. Candidates are expected to demonstrate commitment to personal development, a keen interest in the progression of theatre services and peri‑operative care, and the ability to adapt to the needs of other Health Board sites when required. Excellent communication skills, reliability, hard work and strong teamwork are essential. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.

Education / Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) NMC Registry with a recognised anaesthetic qualification or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) HCPC Registry
