Are you a qualified Electrician looking for a rewarding role where your skills directly support patient care? Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician to join our Estates and Facilities team. You will play a vital role in maintaining essential electrical services across our healthcare sites, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant environments for patients, visitors and colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a diverse and technically challenging healthcare environment, supporting a wide range of building services, engineering systems and critical infrastructure., As a Band 5 Electrician, you will provide specialist electrical maintenance, fault finding, repair and installation services across Health Board premises. Your work will include:
- Planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs
- Installation and maintenance of lighting and power systems
- Emergency lighting testing and maintenance
- Fire alarm testing and isolations
- Generator and battery testing
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Air Handling Units and associated plant
- Replacement of motors, pumps and electrical equipment
- Inspection, testing and certification in accordance with current regulations
- Supporting contractors and participating in site safety procedures
- Responding to emergency breakdowns and critical service failures
You will work on a range of industrial, commercial and domestic electrical systems and be expected to support the wider Estates service through a flexible, multi-skilled approach.
