Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the Finance Business Partner team covering the division of Surgery for Aneurin Bevan. The role is based at block 9 on the Royal Gwent Hospital site, with the opportunity to work in an agile manner across all the Health Board’s sites and remotely. You will be the finance lead responsible for several directorates within the surgery division. This permanent role represents an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motived and curious individual with excellent benefits such as 28 days annual leave, an attractive pension scheme, salary sacrifice schemes and flexible working opportunities.
Main duties of the job
The Divisional Accountant will provide professional financial advice and support to budget holders within the Division/Locality/Directorate, to contribute to achieving financial targets.
The post-holder will be expected to contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies, which facilitate the achievement of the Health Board’s financial objectives.
The post-holder will be expected to implement an annual budget setting process and to provide financial advice to all interested parties.
The post holder will be a fully qualified (CCAB body or CIMA) accountant with excellent communication skills and significant analytical abilities.
The post holder will be required to work across multiple Health Board sites.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
