The role involves supporting managers with the daily operational requirements of the department and supervising your team. You will ensure the service meets customer needs, conduct annual performance reviews, and provide appropriate training. Daily communication with colleagues and customers is essential, including:
- Supervision of all junior staff
- Ensuring staff work within their competency levels
- Training staff on the correct cleaning processes for new equipment and reusable medical devices
- Informing managers of operational issues outside your area of expertise
