The post holder will be responsible for providing senior management in partnership with the Head of Safeguarding in ensuring the Health Board meets its duties and responsibilities for safeguarding and public protection.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Health Board's Corporate Safeguarding Team. Within the Team, we have Safeguarding Leads in both Children and Adults. The post holder is a senior nursing safeguarding professional who supports the Head of Safeguarding in providing the strategic and professional lead in meeting the Health Board’s duties and responsibilities for safeguarding and public protection. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The post holder will support the Head of Safeguarding ensuring that the Health Board discharges its statutory obligations and responsibilities under all legislation for Safeguarding and Public protection, including Social Services and Well Being (Wales) Act 2014; Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Act (Wales) 2016 ensuring that Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) has appropriate systems and policies in place for public protection.
