Job Overview

Reporting to the General Manager, this 12‑month secondment supports the Division’s delivery of key objectives. The role liaises with senior managers across the Division and external parties, planning and delivering operational initiatives and providing project support for major service improvement programmes.

Main Duties

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills in all verbal and written interactions, including negotiation and persuasive techniques.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the division, from Clinical Directors to Directorate Managers.
  • Communicate sensitive business information in a diplomatic and professional manner.
  • Manage and respond to all forms of communication promptly and appropriately.
  • Draft correspondence on behalf of the Senior Leadership Team as required.
  • Engage regularly with external agencies and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the Divisional team to ensure key business functions are completed on time (e.g., Divisional Assurance, Directorate Assurance, Annual/Mid‑year reviews).
  • Use tact and persuasive skills to influence stakeholders and support improvements to processes and services across the directorate.
  • Manage rota staff as required, including delegation of tasks.
  • Develop, review and maintain divisional process documentation.

Essential Criteria

  • Sufficient administrative experience.
  • Computer skills with proficiency in standard office applications.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in a healthcare or public‑sector environment.
  • Education relevant to health service administration.
  • Fluency in Welsh.
