You will join a supportive team focused on patient safety, providing visible senior leadership and direction regarding governance. The post involves working with the Head of Midwifery, the Senior Midwifery team, clinical leads, and the wider organization, ensuring seamless clinical governance pathways and high standards of care.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will lead the governance and risk agenda within maternity services, ensuring high standards of care, patient experience, and clinical effectiveness. They will oversee patient safety incidents and promote an honest and just culture with learning from incidents.

    • Masters Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience
    • Evidence of appropriate post-registration CPD

    • Training in Root Cause Analysis / Serious Incident Investigation
