This post provides a structured development pathway, including completion of the Post-registration Foundation Pharmacist qualification, based within a GP practice environment. This post is suitable for pharmacists who have qualified within the last two years and have achieved an Independent Prescribing (IP) qualification.

We welcome applications from Foundation Trainee Pharmacists who will register with the General Pharmaceutical Council in August 2026.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide medicines management support within a GP practice (base practice to be confirmed).
- Undertake the Post-Registration Foundation qualification with HEI/W.
- Work as a core member of the team within the GP practice, collaborating with other health and social care professionals to deliver services to patients.
- Improve the quality and effectiveness of medicines management across a range of settings.
- Provide patient-focussed, prudent healthcare.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, less experienced pharmacists, foundation trainee pharmacists, and students.

Person Specification:
- Qualifications: Master’s degree in Pharmacy (MPharm). Registered with GPhC. Independent Prescribing qualification. Recent experience of pharmacy practice in either hospital, primary care or community. Experience in undertaking clinical audit.
- Experience: Experience of a primary care role working with GP practices. Experience of delivering training sessions to varied groups.
