Job Overview: Health Care Support Worker within ABUHB working at St Cadocs Hospital or Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr Hospital within the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities division. An exciting opportunity has become available within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board as a Health Care Support Worker to join our caring and professional nursing team.
Qualifications: NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care gained in a Health & Social Care Setting or experience for 6 months within a domiciliary setting. Please note that this role will require you to be fully flexible so that you are able to cover rotational shifts that include days, nights and weekends. This post is currently advertised at Band 2. The role is under review within the Health Board as part of a national review and may, in future, progress to Band 3 with an updated job description. If appointed, your manager will ensure you are kept informed and will support you through any changes, including discussing relevant training requirements.
Main duties of the job: We are a friendly team and welcome applications from Health Care Support Workers who possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal and who are committed to providing high standards of care for patients, their families and carers within a hospital setting. Ideally, the candidate will have excellent computer skills and be enthusiastic about change management and supportive towards their colleagues.
