The predicted salary is between 23800 - 25800 ÂŁ per year.
The Team Leader will be responsible for the management of staff within the Referral and Booking Centre, management of waiting lists, Partial Booking Systems, RTT targets, clinic utilisation and work closely with Directorate Managers and clinicians. Ensure teams work in accordance with the Health Board and Departmental policies and procedures. To provide support to both staff and managers as required.
The post-holder will work within a large team of Referral and Booking Centre staff. They will liaise directly with the Deputy and Referral and Booking Centre Manager, Directorate Managers, Clinicians, patients and/or carers, GPs and other service users within the Health Board. You will need excellent interpersonal skills to enable you to work closely with staff of all disciplines across the Health Board as well as patients and relatives.
Previous Outpatient, Scheduling, Validation, Health Records or other relevant clerical experience would be essential to this role. This is a fixed term post for 12 months to cover the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job include:
- Working as a Team Leader within one of our Referral and Booking Centres within the ABUHB area.
- Being selfâmotivated, with a 'hands on' approach to support the teams within the Referral & Booking Service.
- Working under pressure ensuring that clinics are fully utilised and deadlines/targets are adhered to at all times.
- Having excellent communication skills coupled with a solid understanding of RTT, Pathway Management and Validation.
- Monitoring and actively managing high volumes of telephone calls throughout our departments.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
