Job Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled, adaptable, organised and tenacious individual who wants to make a difference by supporting the leadership and management of the Urgent Care, Operations Directorate. Are you a person willing to drive change, who is adaptable to the needs of the service and who enjoys working with teams in a fast-paced and acute environment; if so, this position could be everything you are looking for. You will be expected to support in the management of a proactive team of Patient Flow Navigators who are situated across our ABUHB sites. You will be expected to demonstrate Band 4 knowledge, skills and experience in bed and site management services, as well as being forward-thinking and innovative to oversee and undertake all aspects of this exciting bed management role. This post is a secondment for 12 months due to meet the needs of the service. Candidates must obtain permission from their current line manager prior to applying for this post.
Responsibilities: The post holder will be a key member of the Urgent Care Division and will work closely with the Operational team. They will be responsible for supporting the leadership, management and delivery of the standards of the Patient Flow Navigators (PFN) in order to effect safe and timely discharge or transfer of patients who present at hospital. Support the line management of Band 4 team across all four sites (GUH, RGH, NHH, YYF) including PADR's, roster management, training and significant involvement with service development. Provide support to the wider directorate with matters relating to service improvement, project support and directorate business, working closely in support of senior managers of the directorate. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
