We have an exciting opportunity to join the Facilities team as an Assistant Head Chef at Nevill Hall Hospital.

The post holder will ensure the highest standards of catering, hygiene, and safety for Patients, Staff, and Service users.

The Assistant Head Chef reports directly to the Assistant Operational Services Manager and is responsible for supervising all staff, deputising for the Manager as necessary.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Allocating duties to Cooks, Catering Assistants, and Porters within the Catering Department.
  2. Checking all meals for quality, quantity, and appearance before service.
  3. Ordering commodities based on requirements, menu cycles, and historical data from the Synbiotix System.
  4. Visiting wards or departments to liaise with Nursing Staff regarding food service issues.

We seek an enthusiastic individual who is confident working independently, with flair, enthusiasm, self-motivation, and team empowerment skills.

Desirable: Ability to speak Welsh; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally encouraged to apply.
