Job Overview
The district nursing service is fundamental in the delivery of the health boardsβ clinical futures model in providing care closer to home, enabling early discharge and preventing hospital admissions. We deliver holistic care to patients within their own homes and residential homes which meets the increasing complexities in health of our patient population. Assessment, planning and delivering high standards of care are achieved through effective collaboration and partnership working.
Main duties of the job
To care for patients and their families within their own homes is a privilege, and the Abertillery district nursing team have an exciting opportunity for a community staff nurse to join a 24/7 service and for them to be part of a supportive, dedicated and forward-thinking team. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical and interpersonal skills with continuing professional development opportunities to prepare you with the skills to meet the evolving autonomous role of the community nurse through engagement of a robust induction programme.
