We are seeking a Deputy Ward Manager on ward 3/4.
Position: Band 6 Deputy Ward Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working collaboratively to meet patient and family needs.
- Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating evidence‑based nursing care.
- Supporting education and supervision of staff.
- Mentoring junior staff.
- Assuming management responsibilities in the absence of the Ward Manager.
- Contributing to multidisciplinary team activities.
- Understanding National Service Framework requirements.
- Promoting policy adherence.
Qualifications:
- Degree qualification.
- Experience in Primary Care (desirable).
Essential Experience and Competencies:
- Previous nursing/healthcare experience.
- NMC qualification.
- Previous managerial experience (desirable).
- Experience in change management (desirable).
Other Requirements:
- Motivation, enthusiasm, and excellent communication skills.
- Motivated, enthusiastic about professional development, open to further academic qualifications.
- Flexible, approachable, compassionate, hardworking, and capable of effective time‑management.
- Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
