Job Overview: To undertake management responsibilities in the absence of the Ward Manager. To demonstrate evidence based clinical practice and be responsible for the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of care. To act as a mentor with recognised mentor experience and a proven history of providing supervision to junior staff. To actively work as a senior member of the multi-disciplinary team. To develop an understanding of the requirements of the National Service Framework.
We are seeking a Deputy Ward Manager to come and join ward 3/2. We are looking for an individual who can assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based nursing care within a quality, recovery focused service for patients. You will contribute to the education, development and line management of other staff members (registrants and non-registrants) and undertake management responsibilities in the absence of the Ward Manager. This post requires motivation, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills and demonstration of evidence based clinical practice.
The candidate should also be a mentor with recognised mentor experience and a proven history of providing supervision to junior staff. The successful candidate should be motivated and enthusiastic about professional development and be open to undertaking further academic qualifications. They must be flexible, approachable, compassionate, motivated, hardworking and be able to manage their time effectively.
