About the Role
This Role is Hybrid, 2 days per week (Tuesday/Wednesday), in either London or Brockenhurst. We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Senior Marketing Executive to support the delivery of our global marketing strategy. We'd like our new teammate to have 3+ years' experience working in marketing within the maritime industry, with a preference for marketing in Asia. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, this role will be instrumental in driving brand visibility and engagement for Anemoi.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Digital
- Develop and manage engaging digital content tailored to maritime audiences, including creating image and video content for multiple platforms.
- Take ownership of the company's social media including monitoring analytics and reporting, with a primary focus on LinkedIn. Knowledge of WeChat (Chinese application) is advantageous but not essential.
- Manage and maintain corporate website, ensuring timely updates and content relevance.
- Write compelling website copy, news updates, case studies, and blog posts relevant to the maritime sector.
- Monitor SEO performance and web analytics to drive digital strategy.
- Plan, build, and execute targeted email marketing campaigns and newsletters.
- Materials & Presentations
- Produce high-quality marketing and promotional materials, including copywriting and visual design.
- Assist in producing sales proposals, coordinating and collating information from different internal and external sources, writing non-technical input, checking layout, grammar and consistency throughout the document to ensure that a high-quality proposal is issued.
- Support other departments to ensure the correct branding and formatting is used on all external documentation.
- Events
- Research potential event opportunities, evaluate and make proposals to the Marketing Manager and Commercial team.
- Support the planning and execution of global and regional events, conferences, and speaking engagements.
- Assist with event logistics, material preparation, and post-event reporting.
- Brand, PR & Strategic Marketing
- Contribute to brand strategy development and execution.
- Support PR activities including drafting and reviewing press releases and editorial submissions tailored to maritime trade publications.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and global market movements.
- Coordinate with strategic partners to amplify joint marketing efforts and co-branded initiatives.
- General Marketing Support
- Liaise with external marketing suppliers and third parties as required.
- Monitor incoming leads and enquiries.
- Undertake activities related to marketing purchasing and budget.
- Reporting of marketing KPIs.
- Contribute to internal communication initiatives and company culture.
- Undertake ad hoc projects and tasks to support marketing operations across the group.
Person Specification
- Skills and Abilities
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in marketing in maritime.
- Experience working with Asian markets preferred, including an understanding of regional business practices and cultural nuances (China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to produce clear and concise copy that is appropriate in tone.
- A consistent high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), social media management and analytics (e.g. Hootsuite), website CMS (preferably WordPress), SEO fundamentals and web performance tools, email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp), and basic video editing (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro) is desirable.
