Help Shape the Future of Wind-Assisted Propulsion Systems (WAPS)

Anemoi is advancing the next generation of wind-assisted propulsion technology for the global maritime sector. We’re looking for an experienced maritime technical leader or NED to join our Technical Oversight Committee and play a key role in guiding the design and development of our WAPS solutions.

If you have expertise in tanker or gas ship design, operations, engineering, or classification, this is a rare opportunity to influence one of the most exciting areas of clean maritime innovation—without the demands of a full-time role.

The TOC provides independent challenge and scrutiny on major design, safety, quality, and integration decisions. Your perspective will be instrumental in ensuring our WAPS products are safe, reliable, commercially competitive, and engineered for long-term performance.

The commitment is modest: six meetings per year (3–4 hours each), plus occasional ad hoc input.

What You’ll Do

• Provide expert, independent advice on WAPS design, engineering decisions, and technical risks
• Review new and significantly updated designs, including system and vessel integration
• Assess testing requirements and results across functional and proof testing
• Strengthen Anemoi’s technical governance, processes, and risk controls
• Support balanced, evidence-based decision-making for the Executive Team

What You Bring

• Strong experience in tanker and/or gas shipping design, systems, operations, or classification
• Deep technical expertise in marine engineering, shipbuilding, manufacturing, or quality assurance
• Senior-level background in design governance, assurance, or technical risk management
• Commercial awareness and the ability to balance safety, quality, and cost
• Confidence to challenge constructively at committee or board level

Ideal for portfolio NEDs, senior consultants, or experienced technical leaders with capacity to contribute strategically.
