Furniture Removalist

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Removalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery driving and possess strong communication skills. As a Removalist, you will be responsible for assisting with the transportation of goods, ensuring safe handling and delivery to various locations. This role requires heavy lifting and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.

Duties

• Safely load and unload items from vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Drive a removal vehicle, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
• Assist in packing and unpacking items as needed, ensuring all belongings are handled with care.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and warehouse areas.
• Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely deliveries and excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a furniture remover/ delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• A valid driver\’s licence with a clean driving record; experience driving larger vehicles is advantageous. However not essential for right candidate as most work will be non driving.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
• Must pass DBS check.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
• A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork.

• Job is offered for self employed persons and will require a UTR number as well as public liability of at least £1000,000.
