Andy File Associates Ltd are working as a recruitment business on behalf of our client with regards to this temporary vacancy.

Our client is a Yorkshire based playground business, who design and install a very high quality range of play equipment and carry out associated landscaping throughout the UK. We are looking to recruit a CSCS Labourer/Landscaper to join their growing team on a temporary basis due to a seasonal peak in workload. The role involves the installation of hard landscape projects including groundworks and installation of play equipment. The ideal candidate will be expected to assist in preparing sites and install projects to a high standard, meeting the requirements outlined by the Site Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Hard Landscape Works – installation of play equipment, ground works, retaining structures, woodwork and timber structures, fencing, artificial grass surfacing, water features, basic plumbing and drainage, stone features etc.
  • Soft Landscape Works – involving the cultivation and preparation of ground for turfing, seeding or planting; planting of trees, shrubs and ground cover plants etc.
  • Ensuring that sites are maintained in a safe and secure condition at all times and that works are undertaken fully in compliance with current health and safety legislation.
  • Promoting at all times the company's professional image on site.

Due to the nature of the business, this role is physically demanding and will require the successful candidate to work outdoors, in all weather conditions, and to be available to work nationwide when required (some projects will involve staying away Monday-Friday due to the location). Our client pays for the accommodation, transport and pays a daily food allowance of £25 when stopping overnight, £10 when not stopping overnight. A DBS check will also need to be undertaken for this role as you will be potentially working in schools.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experienced in Hard Landscaping - however training can be provided
  • Hardworking and flexible
  • Good and clear communication skills for both client and company
  • Willing to travel - essential (Pick up and drop off by client)
  • Hold a valid Green or Blue CSCS card - essential

Hourly rate: £13.00 - £14.00. Plus working away bonus of £25 per day for overnight expenses. Accommodation paid by client.

Schedule: 8 - 10 hour shift Monday to Friday
