We are seeking a highly organised Site Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess industry recognised qualifications, proven leadership abilities, strong organisation skills, attention to detail, excellent time management abilities, and a solid understanding of groundworks. This role offers the opportunity to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality on site. Initially working on an exciting 35 week project in the Sheffield area. This project involves deep drainage (including attenuation), ducting, concrete formwork and surfacing, kerbing, foundations and S38 highways work. The right candidate will have the opportunity to develop their career in a growing business with high aspirations. Our client are an ambitious and close knit team well on our way to building something great.
Duties
- Coordination and supervision of daily construction activities to ensure project progress aligns with timelines and specifications
- Develop detailed project schedules using Procore, monitoring progress and adjusting plans as necessary
- Ordering materials, scheduling deliveries, and managing equipment on-site
- Day-to-day problem-solving and dealing with any issues that arise
- Conduct regular site inspections to enforce health and safety regulations and quality standards
- Maintain detailed site records and ensure site paperwork is kept organised and up to date
- Liaise with the clients, architects and engineers to communicate project updates and resolve issues promptly
- Prepare site reports and liaise directly with the senior management team
- Use specialist project management computer programmes
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience within the civil engineering or construction industry
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines
- Industry recognised qualifications in civil engineering or construction management are required
- Commitment to health & safety standards and continuous professional development
- Good initiative and logical thinking skills
- A valid UK driving licence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
