Are you a recent Electrical Engineering graduate looking to start your engineering career with a company that supplies critical equipment to the global power generation and industrial sectors? We are looking for a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in technical engineering, costing, project planning and customer solutions while working with high-voltage motors, generators and rotating electrical equipment. You will receive training and mentoring from experienced engineers and will develop a strong understanding of how engineering solutions are designed, costed and delivered to customers worldwide.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the preparation of technical quotations and proposals
- Reviewing customer enquiries, specifications and technical requirements
- Assisting with cost estimates and project planning activities
- Working closely with engineering, sales and project teams
- Supporting tender and bid submissions
- Liaising with customers and suppliers to gather technical information
- Developing an understanding of power generation and rotating electrical equipment
- Helping improve internal processes and engineering documentation
- Building knowledge of commercial and technical aspects of engineering projects
What we’re looking for:
- Degree or MEng in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Power Engineering or a related discipline
- Recent graduates and final-year students are encouraged to apply
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Interest in power generation, motors, generators and industrial engineering
