We are currently recruiting for an experienced Stores Operative to join our client based in Lympne, Kent (CT21). Our client is a leading manufacturer of mobile folding furniture, providing versatile and high-quality solutions for events, schools, offices, and other environments where flexibility and efficient use of space are essential. Their product range includes folding tables, chairs, and other mobile furniture, all designed for easy storage, transport, and deployment. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position offering long-term stability within a well-established and growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating Counterbalance and Reach FLT trucks safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading deliveries of finished goods and raw materials
- Picking, packing, and moving stock within the warehouse and stores areas
- Maintaining accurate stock control and inventory records
- Ensuring products are stored correctly to prevent damage
- Keeping the stores area clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards
Skills & Experience Required:
- Valid FLT Counterbalance and Reach licences (essential)
- Previous experience in a stores or warehouse environment
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Package & Benefits:
- £12.80 per hour
- 20 days holiday plus statutory holidays, increasing to 25 days plus statutory holidays after 3 years’ service
- Pension scheme with 3% employer contribution after 3 months
- Monday to Friday working hours
- Full-time, permanent position
