Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards to this permanent position of Handy Person.
Location: Covering Nottingham to Newcastle.
Our client is a leading facilities management company providing high-quality reactive and planned maintenance services across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a skilled and reliable Handy Person to join their team, covering reactive maintenance jobs from Nottingham to Newcastle.
The Role:
As a Handy Person, you will be responsible for attending various client sites to carry out a wide range of reactive maintenance tasks. You will need to be adaptable, able to work independently, and deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to reactive maintenance requests across multiple sites
- Carrying out general repairs and maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, joinery, decorating, and minor electrical work
- Identifying and reporting any major repair needs, taking photographs and notes of the repair enabling them to be accessed
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Keeping accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Providing a professional and friendly service to clients
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance or handy person role
- Strong multi-trade skills (basic plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Full UK clean driving licence
- Use of own van and tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Good IT skills able to use a tablet and mobile phone
- Able to pass a DBS check
- A valid CSCS card (desirable but not essential)
