Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards to this permanent position. This is an exciting chance to join a thriving business in Doncaster. Our client has experienced rapid growth, expanding to new premises and taking on new members of staff over all departments. There is now an opportunity to join them as a Stores Supervisor to add to their Stock and Stores team. This role will report into the Stores Manager.
Key Tasks
- Administer and run full Stock Control, including ordering regularly stocked items like electrical and fitting consumables, stock movements in or out, reporting any shortfalls or faults on the same day, regular checking of stock levels, full stock taking procedures, product knowledge, administering and checking the stock control system on the software provided, and liaising with all departments and systems in relation to this process. Maintain acceptable stock levels agreed with the Finance department.
- Make available stock relating to field work and return field stock to customers as required.
- Liaise with project purchaser and workshop to prepare stock requirements.
- Provide all equipment and consumables to all the workshop engineers for the next day’s work, ensuring that each engineer is not awaiting supplies during their working day.
- Be aware of health and safety requirements and procedures.
- Record and store internal stock movements.
- Control stock held by the Machine Shop.
- Maintain cleanliness, waste, and recycling in the workshop operations area.
- Organise subcontract work required for products, arranging dispatch and accepting returns while ensuring relevant quality checks are observed.
- Process any returns or faulty goods, liaising with suppliers and the accounts department to ensure a replacement or credit is obtained.
- Package goods to be sent out safely and securely, ensuring correct paperwork and labelling are included.
- Maintain and store stock in a safe and correct manner, keeping to designated stock areas, observing COSHH safety data for storage and use, and ensuring cleanliness and tidiness.
- Observe recycling and waste disposal policies of the Company.
- Manage and train members of staff to complete all tasks indicated and conduct all health and safety duties for the stock area and movement of stock through the premises safely.
- Conduct month-end process for stock valuation.

Hours of Work: Work is carried out on a rota system of 8 hours per day, with start and finish times between 6:30am and 5pm, Monday - Friday - 40 hours per week. Rota is 6.30 - 3.00, 7.30 - 4.00, and 8.30 - 5.00.
