Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards to this permanent position.

Location: Doncaster - DN9
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within an accountancy practice and will be confident preparing year-end accounts and tax returns through to review stage. You will also have the opportunity to work on management accounts and VAT returns for a selection of clients.
You will be required to be professional, organised, proactive and have a keen eye for detail, whilst providing a high level of service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Preparing Self Assessment tax returns.
- Preparing MTD ITSA quarterly returns.
- Preparing management accounts for clients.
- Preparing VAT returns.
- Working with accounting software including Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.
- Liaising with clients and colleagues to obtain relevant information and resolve queries.
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within required deadlines.
- Managing your own workload and prioritising tasks effectively.
- Providing a professional and efficient service to clients.
Additional Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Semi Senior or Senior Accountant within an accountancy practice.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience preparing year-end accounts and tax returns.
- Good knowledge of accounting software such as Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.
- Audit experience would be desirable but is not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Professional and client-focused approach.
