Our client, a large metal stockholders based in Gateshead, are now looking for an Administrator with experience in Sales Support to join their team.
Role Overview
As an Admin/Sales Support, you will be responsible for providing administrative and sales support to the sales team and customers. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day office activities whilst providing support to the Sales & Operations teams. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Company, and will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated and dynamic team of professionals.
Core Competencies
Customer Service -Good customer service and problem-solving skills.
Sales & Selling -Experience in a sales support or customer service role. Experience working with sales databases and/or CRM systems.
Organisation & Time Management -Ability to multi-task and organise accordingly in a timely manner with a strong attention to detail.
Communication & Collaboration -Communicate effectively and liaise with a variety of internal personnel and external customers. Ability to work independently and as part of a team so that all deadlines are met.
IT, Literacy & Numeracy -Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Excellent written, verbal & numeracy skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to policies.
- Work within a variety of agreed systems and liaise with appropriate personnel.
- Maintaining filing and archiving systems and general administration housekeeping.
- Administer direct delivery to customers.
- Generate and be accountable for all invoices and proof of deliveries.
- Manage suppliers’ deliveries effectively.
- Accurately use sales and purchase ledgers.
- Understand and operate stock control and accounting systems.
- Respond to customer enquiries regarding product availability, pricing, and delivery dates.
- Prepare quotes, purchase orders, and sales orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Navigate internal and external databases to find product and pricing information for customers.
- Collaborate with sales team to identify new sales opportunities and provide product information to customers.
Hours of work: 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.30pm Friday
