Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI‑powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting‑edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
The Maneuver Dominance team at Anduril develops operationally relevant, multi‑asset autonomy. We are focused on building the next generation of autonomous capabilities by leveraging existing Anduril platforms like Ghost or Altius, bringing 3rd party platforms into Anduril’s Lattice ecosystem, and developing breakthrough systems that will shape the future of the battlefield. We build Software services and Autonomy algorithms that solve some of the hardest problems facing our customers.
As a Frontend Engineer on the Maneuver Dominance team, you will take ownership of multiple web applications that enable operators to design, plan, operate, and debrief missions for fleets of heterogeneous autonomous systems. You will create immersive, high‑performance interfaces that transform complex operational data into intuitive, actionable workflows, supporting the full mission lifecycle. Above all, Engineers within Maneuver Dominance are driven by a “Whatever It Takes” mindset—executing in an expedient, scalable, and pragmatic way while keeping the mission top‑of‑mind and making sound engineering decisions to deliver successful outcomes correctly, on‑time, and with high quality.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build real‑time, map‑based command and control interfaces that enable operators to manage fleets of autonomous systems across multiple domains, from mission planning and asset tasking to live operations and post‑mission analysis.
- Architect efficient frontend systems that handle massive streams of real‑time telemetry, sensor data, and vehicle status while maintaining performant rendering of hundreds of assets, sensor coverages, and tactical overlays.
- Create immersive user experiences with intuitive interaction patterns that make complex multi‑robot coordination feel intuitive and natural, implementing elegant animations, transitions, and visual feedback that enhance operator understanding and decision‑making.
- Integrate specialized data sources including electronic charts, 3D terrain, bathymetry, sensor imagery, and video feeds into cohesive, actionable interfaces.
- Partner directly with operators to rapidly iterate on features, translating Figma designs and operational concepts into pixel‑perfect implementations that operators love to use.
- Establish frontend architecture patterns and engineering best practices that enable the team to build consistently excellent, performant interfaces.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional industry experience working with modern web technologies: TypeScript, React, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Deep understanding of web APIs, browser performance optimization, and runtime characteristics.
- Proficiency with modern data visualization libraries for mapping (Mapbox, Cesium), charting (visx), and custom canvas/WebGL rendering.
- Experience building real‑time, data‑intensive web applications that remain performant under load.
- Strong UX sensibility with an eye for design, interaction patterns, and visual polish.
- Experience with modern build, bundlers (Webpack, Vite), and frontend testing frameworks.
- Ability to work effectively with backend APIs (REST, gRPC‑web, WebSockets).
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active UKSV Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building gaming interfaces, real‑time strategy games, or interactive simulations.
- Familiarity with geospatial technologies, coordinate systems, and map projections.
- Experience working with video streaming, image processing, or sensor data visualization.
- Experience with design tools (Figma) and design systems.
- Background working with backend technologies (Go, Rust) to inform better API design.
- Experience in defense, aerospace, robotics, or other real‑time C2 systems.
