An onsite role in London, England responsible for the development and implementation of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs to comply with applicable regulations. The individual will work in manufacturing, test, and R&D environments focusing on EHS programs such as occupational safety, chemical management, incident management, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, storm water management, air emissions, regulated waste, etc. This role will oversee and manage all aspects of EHS across our UK and European Operations. The role will work closely with Operational Leaders and EHS Corporate functions to proactively manage risk and opportunities and embed a positive and proactive EHS culture.
Responsibilities
- Assist accident/incidents investigations, analyze root causes, and implement preventative actions; define actionable followâups and track their implementation to continuously enhance safety, efficiency, and overall incident response capabilities for a distributed team, ensuring lessons learned are integrated back into processes.
- Serve as EHS interface and liaison with employees, managers, customers, auditors and regulators.
- Identify workplace safety hazards and conditions for job-related tasks by performing and documenting safety inspections.
- Collaborate with other departments to help guide, teach and influence safe behaviors in the workplace.
- Be responsible for hazardous waste management, including proper handling, labeling, and storage.
- Influence at all organisational levels and build a proactive EHS culture.
- Work with functional teams to identify, prioritise, and manage opportunities and risks across our operations.
- Manage and coordinate EHS training programs for team members.
- Support operational stakeholders in meeting European Chemical Regulations requirements â specifically, Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).
- Ensure that sites are compliant with EHS requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience implementing and overseeing environmental, health and safety programs.
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective at engaging with leadership, regulators, frontâline staff, and thirdâparty partners.
- Capability to manage multiple activities/projects and deadlines.
