The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Chillers Service Engineer to join our Birmingham team. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, repairing, and fault-finding on a wide range of specialist cooling and heating equipment. Working across customer sites and our specialist fleet, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our equipment remains safe, reliable, and ready to perform when our customers need it most.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out service, maintenance, and repair work on industrial chillers and associated equipment
  • Maintaining the safe operation and presentation of equipment including chillers, boilers, dehumidifiers, AHUs, and ancillary systems
  • Performing inspections, servicing, testing, cleaning, and maintenance in line with company procedures
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs within your level of training and technical competence
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards
  • Maintaining accurate service, inspection, testing, and calibration records
  • Travelling to customer sites to support installations, servicing, and breakdown response
  • Acting as a professional ambassador for Andrews Sykes and the Specialist Hire Division at all times

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience
  • F-Gas qualified
  • Strong understanding of chillers and boilers
  • Experience in fault-finding, maintenance, and repair
  • Willingness to travel as part of the role
  • Flexibility to work outside normal working hours when required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work
Desirable
  • Previous experience working with industrial chillers
  • Experience within a similar service engineering environment
  • Knowledge of AHUs and specialist cooling equipment
