Andrews Sykes is seeking a skilled and motivated Pump Engineer to join our Midlands team. This is a field-based role responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our specialist pump hire equipment across a wide range of customer sites, including construction, utilities, industrial, and environmental projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join an industry leader and build a long-term career within a respected and growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and decommission pump equipment on customer sites
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and safely
- Perform routine service and maintenance on a range of diesel and electric pumps
- Provide technical support and advice to customers on site
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
- Complete job reports and service documentation accurately
- Participate in the on-call rota (with additional pay)
Requirements
Essential:
- Mechanical engineering experience (plant, pumps, generators, or similar)
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Good customer-facing and communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience working with pumps or related equipment
- Electrical knowledge
- CSCS card
- IPAF or CPCS qualifications
