We are looking for Senior Surveyors to join us on a permanent, full-time contract and support our offshore survey teams.
As an independent contractor, we have delivered survey and positioning expertise to the global offshore industry for over four decades.
With a diverse range of long-term clients who require accurate, efficient solutions using the latest methods and technologies, no two projects are ever the same.
We support our clients across various activities, including surface and subsea positioning, MBES seabed surveys, subsea infrastructure installation, as-built surveys, and regular maintenance and inspection.
The ideal candidate will have a proven offshore track record in a senior position supporting offshore survey teams.
You will be adept at reacting and changing to new situations and have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
You will have good communication skills and work well as a senior survey team member.
Responsibilities
- Supporting survey positioning, navigation, and data acquisition using various equipment, technical software, and data acquisition systems.
- Supervising the setup of survey software, including confirming geodesy settings and conducting test point transformations.
- Ensuring that all settings comply with project procedures;
- Applying calibrations and verification checks to ensure quality assurance;
- Ensuring the entire survey system is continuously operational and monitoring all incoming data sources to meet project requirements.
- Ensuring the safe and effective direction of day-to-day survey operations in accordance with contractual requirements and instructions from the Party Chief.
- Reporting results of survey operations.
- Ensuring quality with attention to detail.
- Ensuring client requirements are being met to the required standards.
- Maintaining effective communication with offshore and onshore personnel.
Qualifications
- Nationally recognised relevant academic qualification.
- Current offshore medical, survival and safety certification.
- 5+ Years of offshore survey experience, ideally holding IMCA competency at Senior Level.
- Experience with Eiva Navisuite packages.
- IT literate and comfortable with simple PC networking and software maintenance.
- Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite of applications and Auto CAD.
- Right to live and work in the UK.
- Currently reside in the UK.
