M&E Project Manager Building Services | Retrofit | Decarbonisation

A fast-growing Design & Build consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced M&E Project Manager to support the delivery of technically interesting retrofit and decarbonisation projects across public sector, commercial and residential environments. This business is heavily involved in helping the built environment move towards Net Zero, with projects typically ranging from £25k to £1m.
You will be involved in projects including:
- Heating system upgrades
- Air source heat pumps
- HVAC and ventilation systems
- Electrical infrastructure upgrades
- Solar PV and battery storage
- Building management systems
- Low-carbon retrofit and refurbishment works
This is a full lifecycle delivery role where you will have real ownership and visibility across projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
The role:
- Deliver multiple M&E projects simultaneously
- Manage budgets, programmes and contractor performance
- Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors and technical teams
- Handle variations, cost control and project reporting
- Ensure quality, compliance and H&S standards are maintained
- Lead commissioning, snagging and project close out
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience delivering M&E or building services projects
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience managing projects between £25k and £1m
- Commercial awareness and contractor management capability
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CDM and H&S legislation
- Experience within retrofit, renewable or decarbonisation projects would be highly advantageous
Package:
- Total package up to £65,000
- Base salary up to £60,000 DOE
